What to Wear in Hawaii?
Take your most comfortable walking shoes, because you will want to take long romantic strolls together, and not just on the beach. Island dress is casual, even at night, and even at the resorts, where shirts and dress shorts without jackets and ties are acceptable for men, and slacks are acceptable for women.

But you will want to go shopping together, and may pick up some fabulous aloha shirts and muu muus, both of which can be worn at any time of day.
